Mr. Bandelkar simultaneously served as the Vice-President of MCHI-CREDAI Thane unit and also as the Joint-Secretary of the Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (MCHI-CREDAI), Mumbai. Currently, he plays the role of an advisory at MCHI, Kalyan Unit.

Mr. Kanwal Jeet Jawa is admired world over for his contributions to the air conditioning Industry. Mr. Jawa is a veteran in the air conditioning industry with four decades of experience that incorporates creating value simultaneously for the brand and to the customers, and for initiating, planning and successfully implementing the tasks. As a senior associate officer of Daikin industries Japan, he is an integral part of leadership team contributing in the decision making process to enhance Business globally. He is respected for his long time dedication and support as the consistent grass root contributor, who has displayed a willingness to do whatever is necessary to contribute to the success of Daikin. He has actively participated in every event and was largely involved in establishing and consistently promoting the sector and continue to play such a vibrant role.
His long term vision to improve the lagging skill level prevailing in the Indian HVAC industry, especially in the unorganized sector, led to the inception of a successful CSR initiative, focused on training and learning, which has now come to be named as Daikin “Centers of Excellence”. His interest in the skill development; and improvement in the employability of the workforce has made him dabble in the field of academics & skill development. And as the President of Daikin Japanese Institute of Manufacturing Excellence (DJIME), he is supporting and spearheading the IndoJapan collaborative initiative in India on behalf of Daikin.
He holds prestigious position in the Executive Committee of Indian Green Building Council (IGBC); and is the Vice Chairman, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Delhi State. He is also holding President’s Chair of Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Manufacturers Association (RAMA) and sits on the advisory board of Lal Bahadur Shastri College of Management, Delhi; and a member of the governing body of the renowned Bhartiya Skill Development University, Jaipur.
His multifaceted personality, immense perseverance and sustained hard work have helped him explore the unexplored and brought him phenomenal accomplishments. He is known for his business acumen, innovative Ideas and people centric leadership. Mr. Jawa is truly an iconic alchemist.

Himanshu Dixit is a programme associate in the Technology, Finance and Trade (TFT) team. He supports the policy work on the implementation of Kigali Amendment and India Cooling Action Plan by nudging for RAC servicing sector reforms as well as an enhanced R&D ecosystem for energy-efficient and low-GWP cooling technologies.

Mr Dipak Barma is a graduate Mechanical Engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur having completed his B. Tech (Hons) in 1975. He also completed a Residential Senior Management Programme from IIM - Ahmedabad.
He has a total of more than 47 years of experience. He worked in Blue Star Ltd for 15 years in the Project Engineering Division and the HVAC & R Projects Division. After his stint with Blue Star he set up Acrovent Systems Pvt Ltd - a Consultancy and Design-Build firm in the Buildings MEP Services sector, covering HVACR, PHE, Plumbing, Electrical, FDA, Fire Fighting and other services requirement. Acrovent is now in its 33rd year of operation. He has led the successful running of this organisation, employing senior Engineering / Commercial / Finance / other personnel ensuring professional approach.
He is a former National President of ISHRAE (Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers). ISHRAE is a Society of over 14,000 professional HVAC&R Engineers as members spread all over India with Chapters in 42 Cities. He has the honour of being awarded the "Exceptional Service Award" by the Society for his leadership in taking the Society through high growth levels. He has served the Society as member on the ISHRAE ADVISORY COUNCIL, ISHRAE NOMINATING COMMITTEE and CHAIRMAN OF THE HONOURS & AWARDS COMMITTEE. He is presently chairman of the ISHRAE Education Committee and a former President of the AMERICAN SOCIETY OF HEATING REFRIGERATING AND AIR CONDITIONING ENGINEERS (ASHRAE) EAST INDIA CHAPTER.

Area Director of Engineering- South Asia Marriott International

Bhaskar is a seasoned Hotelier with over 28 years of experience across India, Caribbean & Latin America, and the Middle East. He holds a master’s degree in Energy from the Heriot Watt University, Edinburg/Dubai.
Bhaskar started his Journey with Marriott in 2001 during the Pre-Opening stages of the JW Marriott Hotel, Juhu Mumbai. He then moved to the Caribbean Islands where he was appointed as the Director of Engineering at the Curacao Marriott Resort and Emerald Casino, Curacao, as well as the Sr. Kitts Marriott Resort.
In May 2009 Bhaskar moved to JW Marriott Dubai where he worked extensively on managing the challenging Engineering operations of the Property needing renovation and MEP replacement, Improved the Energy & Water usage intensity and enhanced conservation on property.
He received an Award from Dubai Municipality for the “Best Hotel in Public Health & Safety” in Dubai for 5 Star hotels in 2011.
In September 2015, Bhaskar moved to the Ritz Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal where, he received the Global Engineering Leadership award for Marriott International, 2018.
Bhaskar relocated back Mumbai in November 2019 to take up the role of Area Director of Engineering, South Asia, Marriott International after a 15-year international stint with Marriott International!

Ms. Elisa Rim works for the United Nations Environment Programme’s OzonAction Compliance Action Programme as the Montreal Protocol Regional Coordinator for the South Asia Network. She has over 20 years of experience working as an analyst focusing on the intersection of international environmental policy, mitigation, and multilateral finance. She currently works on Montreal Protocol issues specializing in HFC and HCFC economic modelling and Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning (RAC) servicing sector programme management.

Senior Programme Lead in the Technology

Shikha Bhasin is Senior Programme Lead in the Technology, Finance and Trade team at The Council. A co-author of the India Cooling Action Plan (ICAP), she continues to represent CEEW as a member of ICAP working groups to implement its R&D and servicing sector goals. Her research focuses on enhancing access to sustainable cooling in India, as well supporting the technology and market transitions required to meet India's Kigali Amendment commitments. Shikha also leads research on climate negotiations, with a particular focus on aspects of the Paris Agreement rulebook, and national ambitions set out under the aegis of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
