Associate Professor at the Technical University of Civil Engineering

Mr. Lungu is Associate Professor at the Technical University of Civil Engineering (www.utcb.ro) and was for 7 years a visiting professor at the Ecole Nationale Superieure de l’Energie, l’Eau et l’Environment ENSE3 (France). He is specialized in dynamic simulation of HVAC and RES systems, including EPB and NZEB.
He represents AIIR (the Romanian Association of Building Services Engineers, www.aiiro.ro) as first vicepresident (since 2020), and REHVA as president since May 2022 (for the mandate 2022-2025). He is also the president of the Romanian Chamber of Energy Auditors (www.oaer.ro) since April 2022 and the main national organizer of the training and continous learning courses for the Romanian energy assessors.
Dr. Lungu was the organizing committee chair of the HVAC World Congress CLIMA 2019 (2016-2019).
He is/was project manager of 5 research projects and member in other 4, including the project for recasting the national methodology for the calculation of the energy performance of buildings, according to the new set of EPB standards. He is also member of 6 standardization technical committees (5 ASRO and 1 ISO).
As main author or co-author, Dr. Lungu has been publishing 6 books and more than 50 scientific or technical articles.

Tomasz Cholewa PhD, DSc works at the Lublin University of Technology as Associate Professor.
He cooridates research project about innovative, forecast control of heating system, which is easy applicable in existing buildings.
He was reviewer in many international journals and in EC in topics related to energy efficiency in buildings.
He is professional/licenced engineer (PE) for designing and supervising on building site in frame of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, water supply. He is Chair of Polish Chamber of Sanitary Engineers, Region Lublin. His main research topics are related to energy efficient renovation of existing buildings (especially in field of HVAC), radiant heating/cooling, heat cost allocation in buildings, renewable energy use/integration in buildings.
He was Task Force chair of publisehed REHVA Guidebook “Energy efficient renovation of existing buildings for HVAC professionals”.

I have eighteen years of professional experience in energy efficiency, climate change, green growth, and the global carbon market. As Director of the Indian Bureau of Energy Efficiency, I have demonstrated leadership in developing outcome-driven programmes and policies, as well as resource mobilisation and advocacy.
Demonstrated success in supervising and managing energy programmes, thought leadership on energy issues, including publication on energy-related topics such as climate change, energy efficiency, clean energy financing, and energy transition.
Extensive experience catalysing and leading partnerships that involve the public sector, the private sector, multilateral, bilateral, multilateral, and non-governmental organisations in the energy and climate change for national and international development. Constructed collaborative alliances for results across practise and disciplinary boundaries, as well as with multiple stakeholders. Additionally, I have participated in and presented at international forums on climate change, clean energy finance, and energy efficiency.

• Architected "National Mission for Enhanced Energy Efficiency" document. The mission triggered a US$12 billion investment in the energy and climate sectors.

Professor, Building Energy Performance, Faculty of Technology, and Senior Advisor, Centre for Advanced Research in Building Science and Energy, CEPT University

Rajan Rawal is an architect. He is a senior advisor at Centre for Advanced Research in Building Science and Energy (CARBSE) and a CRDF Professor at CEPT University. He was Executive Director of CARBSE between 2006 and 2021. He worked with Vastu Shilpa Foundation for Studies and Research in Environmental Design before joining Faculty of Design, CEPT University, Ahmedabad. He taught design and construction courses as part of the undergraduate program. He teaches & energy efficient built environment, energy policy, energy modeling and simulations at postgraduate level. His work emphasis is on ‘energy performance of buildings and cities’ and ‘architectural science education. He is a member of various technical core committees of Bureau of Energy Efficiency – Ministry of Power, NITI Aayog, National Building, GRIHA Council, Green Building Certification Institute and India Green Building Council. Prof. Rawal represents India at International Energy Agency EBC Annex. 69 on low energy building and thermal comfort, Mission Innovation Challenge 7 on affordable heating and cooling. And Global Building Performance Network (GBPN).
He is founder member secretary of India Chapter of International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA) and also serves at IBPSA world as Chair Education. He serves Alliance for Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE), Development Alternatives (DA), Journal of Building Research and Information (BRI), Dept. of Architecture, Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Mysore and Institute of Environmental Design managed by Parisar Trust, Vallabh Vidyanagar, as an honorary member of various boards and committees. He has a number of research publication and research projects to his credits. Prof. Rajan Rawal, has been honoured with Fellow status by the American Society of Heating Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) in 2020, with Fellow status by the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA) in 2021 and ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer in 2021.
