Niyati is an is an architect with master’s degree in urban development and management. She also holds a Ph.D. on Disaster Resilience of Healthcare Infrastructure. She is presently working with WRI India – Climate Program as Senior Program Associate. She works with a focus on adopting alternative low-carbon pathways towards a just and inclusive transition for Indian MSMEs. Additionally, she is working towards decarbonization of the building and construction sector.
At the School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi, she has been an integral member of various research and consultancy projects on ‘Urban Infrastructure Resilience’, and ‘Healthcare Architecture’. Additionally, she has taught many courses in Architecture and has worked on developing training and academic modules for short-term training programs and MOOC courses on Healthcare Architecture and Sustainable Material Utilization in Construction Industry. She is also a committee member under the MH Panel 14, Bureau of Indian standards (BIS), GoI to revise the standards for planning and design of hospitals in India.
